WAVD scholarships for WCVD10 OPEN

The World Association for Veterinary Dermatology (WAVD) offers financial support to encourage veterinarians with limited access to continuing education in veterinary dermatology to attend the World Congress.
The WAVD aims to promote the global development of veterinary dermatology and expects that selected applicants will use knowledge and skills acquired at the Congress to advance veterinary dermatology in their geographic region.
Recipients will provide a written report to the WAVD Administrative Committee with an outline of how they benefited from the scholarship and how their attendance was of benefit to their veterinary community.
Each scholarship consists of free, full Congress registration and an allowance towards travel and accommodation. WAVD Scholarship Applications for WCVD10 Boston 2024 open on July 1, 2023 and close on September 30, 2023.

The WAVD Peter Ihrke Scholarship is NOW OPEN!

The Peter Ihrke Scholarship was created to honor the late Professor Peter Ihrke, a respected figure in veterinary dermatology who dedicated himself to making dermatological care accessible to those in need.
Applications for the scholarship can be submitted through the WAVD (World Association for Veterinary Dermatology) website starting on July 1, 2023, until September 30, 2023.
The recipient of the scholarship will be announced by the WAVD Administrative Committee on December 1, 2023.

Save the date for AiSVD congress 2023!

We are excited to announce that the Asian Society of Veterinary Dermatology (AiSVD) will take place online joint congress with Japanese society of Veterinary Dermatology in this difficult situation of COVID-19.
Lectures are available on demand from 20th of March to 20th of April.
There will be five lectures by diplomates of veterinary dermatology from Europe and Asia, in addition to free communications as well as poster sessions. The congress website is open so save the date and keep your eyes on our website for the latest information.

Welcome to the AiSVD


The Asian Society of Veterinary Dermatology (AiSVD) is an international non-profit organization comprises veterinarians and non-veterinarians who are interested in the biology and diseases of animal skin. The objective of the Society shall be to further scientific progress in veterinary and comparative dermatology. The society shall endeavour to achieve this objective by:

1. Providing an organization for recognized specialists in veterinary dermatology and for individuals who take interest in practice, research or the teaching of veterinary and comparative dermatology.
2. Providing further dermatological education for graduate veterinarians, veterinary students and nurses.
3. Encouraging and promoting improved methods of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of skin diseases in animals.
4. Encouraging the exchange of clinical and scientific information for veterinary and comparative dermatology.
